Although the rapidly developing field of Ecological Economics has its own journal and a rapidly expanding literature, we were not surprised to see many at the Ecosystem Stewardship Workshop confused by the term: Even among its closest adherents, EE's scope and details are still being intensely debated. Many understandably interpret the juxtaposition of the terms "Ecological" and "Economics" to refer merely to the application of conventional economics, sometimes referred to as neoclassical economics to the management of ecosystems. And certainly, this impression would not be entirely wrong, since the usefulness of CE in this field is well established. Thus, for example, our paper could not but include a major section to review Environmental and Resource Economics. These sub-fields address environmental issues and resources insofar as these 'things' are perceived by economists to intersect economic activities. But while the achievements of and more recently, its modifications embodied in ERE are extremely useful, EE differs from these in highly significant ways. The following will attempt to identify these and other differences, to envision a new more realistic economics based on such differences, and at least to suggest how we may best proceed. It seems the only way out of this is a people's court to charge the governments since 1913 with treason. It was 1913 the bank act was signed which gave the chartered banks the right to create money, which is unconstitutional. Declare it treason. — Ricky James B
